Andrea is a current senior studying Travel Tourism and Hospitality Management. She works as an RA at the Harborside Village, works at a gym and also works at a luxury apartment complex. She was the President of her sorority and is very active on campus. Although she has 1500 things to do each day, she still looks fabulous. Her style is  glamourous yet classy, and she is the go-to girl for honest fashion advice. I decided to interview her because she puts hard work into everything she sets her mind to. She is also very friendly and loving, so hey, she’s the perfect person for an interivew! Upon interviewing her, I’ve discovered some pretty awesome things about her!

What’s it like being so involved on campus?

“I think I took it very seriously when I was told that college is a once in a life time experience and that I should be making the most out of it. I fell in love with the idea of inspiring, impacting and after that it became so easy to enjoy being everywhere.”

You’re in a sorority, how does that impact your life?

“Being in a sorority has impacted my life in numerous ways. From learning that I didn’t only represent myself but a pack of women behind me, I’ve learned selflessness. I’ve also learned to perfect my time management skills because of the duties that are required to maintain such a small organization like ours.”

What goes into performing  with your sisters?

“I think one of the challenges performing with your sisters and those that know you extremely well is separating personal from business. At the end of the day my organization  needs to succeed, and learning to hold each other accountable even when it is not easy to have those conversations is one of the biggest challenges yet it is one of the best lessons I’ve learned.”

If you had one thing you wanted to accomplish before graduation, what would it be?

“If there’s one thing I could establish before graduation it would be a dance class. I wish that we could hire an instructor who didn’t expect you to be in a dance team or perform, but would want to help you learn. I stopped dancing when I came to college even though I did it since I was three years old because the dance teams we have on campus are only performance-based. So I think having a dance class would be something I want to accomplish.”

What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had at JWU?

“I think one of the most memorable experience I’ve had at JWU was when one of my classmates looked at me and said “I don’t know how you do it.” I think when I leave, that will be what I remember the most because I have three months left and the amount of hurdles, decisions I have had to make, and things I didn’t think I could get through on top of all my responsibilities is something that I’ve pushed through.”

Do you think being a leader helps you out in any way?

“Being a leader has helped me so much because I have learned to take control over situations when those around me feel like they can’t. I think overall this is essential because you can teach those around you with the tools to succeed and you can set them up for a lifetime. I think I have also learned to be the face of an organization and represent it to the best of my ability, knowing that I make or break that branding with my actions.”

One word that describes yourself?

“Legendary.”

After interviewing the infamous Andrea, I learned that she was not as intense and intimidating as I thought she would be. She has a genuine heart and surprisingly a good sense of humor. She’s confident yet goofy, and I’m excited I saw that side of her. Andrea sets her goals and accomplishes them no matter how hard it may be (that’s a role model). It was a pleasure interviewing Andrea and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us for the next few months!JWU, say hello to Andrea whenever you see her!

Hi everyone! I'm Reina Mori and I am a current sophomore at Johnson and Wales University. I currently study Baking and Pastry Arts/ Food Service Management. I am a proud Hermana of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. I am from New Jersey currently living in Rhode Island! I work at Vicotria's Secret and sadly, I love to spend all of my money there. I have the worlds cutest dog named Bailey. She's an Australian Cattle Dog who LOVES food just as much as I do. A few things I like to do for fun is cooking, playing field hockey, shopping, and being around my friends. A fun fact about me is that I am absolutely terrible when it comes to introducing myself.
