Celebrating #NationalPinkDay with pink-colored cocktails!

National Pink Day is the annual celebration of the universally preferred color – pink! And the purpose is simple. Just surround yourself with all things pink! So why not celebrate with some of the fruitiest, prettiest, and of course, pinkest cocktails around?

Beach House Cosmo

What you’ll need: 4 cups of prepared limeade, 2 cups of vodka, 1 cup of cranberry juice, ½ Triple Sec, 12 lime slices

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a pitcher and place in the refrigerator to chill for 2-3 hours. When chilled, serve in martini glasses with lime slices to garnish.

Raspberry Moscato Sangria

What you’ll need (sangria): 1 cup of raspberries,  1 cup of halved strawberries, 1 cup of blackberries, 1 (750 ml) bottle of chilled Pink Moscato, ½ of red berry or raspberry vodka, 1 cup of lemon lime soda, 1 recipe of raspberry simple syrup (below)

Raspberry simple syrup: 1 cup of raspberries, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, ¼ of water. In small pot, add raspberries, granulated sugar, and water. Place on stove and bring to a gentle boil. Stirring occasionally, boil moisture until sugar has dissolved. Take it off the stove and allow it to cool down to room temperature. Strain.

Directions: Add fruit to a large pitcher and top with chilled Moscato, raspberry simple syrup, and vodka. Stir and place in refrigerator for 1-2 hours to chill.

Barbie Drink

What you’ll need: 1 oz of Malibu Coconut Rum, 1 oz of vodka, 1 oz of cranberry juice, 1 oz of orange juice, 1 oz of pineapple juice, 1 oz of 7-UP or Sprite Lime

Directions:  Mix all ingredients together, add ice, and garnish with a lime.

Pink Police

What you’ll need: 12 ounces of beer, 12 ounces of frozen pink lemonade, 12 ounces of vodka

Directions:  Pour one can of beer, one can of frozen pink lemonade, and vodka into a pitcher. Stir and serve.

Cherry Bomb

What you’ll need: 1 ½ oz of cherry vodka, 4 ounces of Ginger Ale, 1 tablespoon of Grenadine

Directions:  Mix cherry vodka, Ginger Ale, and Grenadine in a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cherry.

Very Pink Raspberry Cosmo

What you’ll need (raspberry juice): 2 cups of frozen raspberries, 1 ½ cups of water

What you’ll need (cocktail): 2 ounces of raspberry juice, 2 ounces of raspberry liqueur, 4 ounces of vodka, juice from ½ a lime, 1 oz of simple syrup, pink sugar crystals, raspberries for garnish

Directions (raspberry juice):  Combine raspberries and water, place on stove and bring to a simmer. Mash the berries against the sides of the pan to release juices. Strain in a cup scraping the seeds to extract juices.

Directions (cocktail):  Fill two standard martini glasses with ice and water to chill. In a shaker combine the raspberry juice, raspberry liqueur, lime juice, and ice until ice cold. Pour out the water from the martini glasses and dip the rims in simple syrup then sugar crystals. Garnish with raspberry.  

Malibu Twisted Pink

What you’ll need: 1 part Malibu, 1 part cranberry juice, 1 part fresh grapefruit juice

Directions: Pour all ingredients over cubed ice. Stir and chill. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit.
