The very first seconds of our life, we cry. Not because we’re scared, or hurt. But because we need to breathe. Crying is a way to calm down, cleanse your mind, and sometimes make difficult decisions. When we cry emotionally, we release an endorphin called leucine-enkephalin. This endorphin is known to reduce pain, stress, and brighten our mood. Remember when you were little and you cried so much for not getting your way, and when you finally gave up, you were tired after? Leucine-enkephalin is why. According to the internet, Doctors say it can actually be harmful to the body when one holds back their emotions. Crying is neceassry for releasing toxins from the body. Though, it’s good to cry in a place where you feel safe, like your bedroom or the shower, so that you feel better afterward and not embarssed or even more stressed.

People cry for many different reasons. It could be because of a heart-breaking movie, a funny joke, happiness, love, and everything else inbetween. People cry when someone passes away, and when they get frusturated during a test, and when they are hurt. But let us never forget that crying is a reminder of how strong we are. We are all human, and life is hard sometimes. So yes, it is okay to cry. Everybody cries. Even Beyoncé. So let it out and let it go.
