Wardrobe Staple: The White Tank

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

This fashion series is one that I feel is very important. Trends are great as they give us an opportunity to try new things and add some flair to our wardrobe. And as much as I love some of the Spring trends of the season, I feel that wardrobe staples are way more important than what Women’s Wear Daily tells us is hot at the moment.

This week’s wardrobe staple is the White Tank. One of the best things about the white tank is that it can be worn year around, with heels or flats and can look tough or chic. These are my favorite ways for dressing up the white tank. Be sure to try this at home and let us know how you worked it!

Look One:

White tank and leather. The white tank paired with a leather jacket is a classic look. This is the perfect way to pull off the edgy tough girl look. Unleash your inner rockstar.

Look Two:

White tank and frilly skirt. The white tank with the frilly skirt is a great way to go the feminine route. This look is really simple and ideal for spring.

Look Three:

White tank and cardigan. The white tank goes great with a cardigan. A printed cardigan can really set your look apart from other collegiettes. Add your favorite bib necklace to really standout!

Look Four:

White tank and skinny jeans. The white tank is at home when paired with jeans. To update this vintage look, add quirky accessories like studded boots or chunky bracelets, or break out of the box with colored jeans.

Look Five:

White Tank and maxi skirt. The white tank/maxi skirt combo is great for spring. Add your favorite accessories and you are ready to cause a scene.
