Your Guilt-Free Halloween Starts Here

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IU chapter.

It’s difficult to avoid your sweet tooth on any given day, so Halloween makes it even more impossible. And while we know Halloween candy is high in fat, calories, and sugar, it’s just too good to give up.

There’s no real answer to a “healthy” Halloween. It simply doesn’t exist. I mean let’s face it, candy isn’t healthy. But there is no need to fear all of those delicious sweet treats. Here’s a list of the healthiest (or the least guilt-inducing) Halloween favorites guaranteed to keep you satisfied all day long.

1. Kit Kat

They’re relatively low in fat and calories thanks to their light wafer center. One snack-size bar has 3 grams of fat and only 70 calories.

2. Nestle Crunch

Similar to the Kit Kat, the light crispies make this bar one of the healthiest on the list. One snack-size bar has 3 grams of fat and 60 calories.

3. Peanut M&M’s

Peanut M&M’s have protein and fiber, making this candy extremely satisfying. One snack-size bag has 90 calories, 4.7 grams of fat, and 9.1 grams of sugar.

4. Tootsie Roll

Because one Tootsie Roll isn’t enough, you don’t have to feel bad about eating a few at a time. Three Tootsie Rolls amount to 70 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.

5. 3 Musketeers

It’s pretty hard to stop after one, but don’t worry because you don’t really have to. One snack size bar has 63 calories, 2 grams of fat.

6. Nerds

These little guys are great if you’re not a chocolate fan. One snack-size box is 50 calories, 12 grams of sugar, and 0 grams of fat.

7. Twizzlers

Another alternative for non-chocolate lovers. One snack-size Twizzlers is 100 calories and 1 gram of fat.

8. Milky Way

These nougat-filled caramel delicacies are perfect options when trying to watch your candy intake. One snack-size bar has 80 calories and 3 grams of fat. (Extra points for a Milky Way Dark)
