What
Winter Glamourland is one of the biggest and most exciting fundraisers Her Campus Illinois holds. This event will include makeup trials by Sephora makeup artists, hairdos from Salon 7 stylists, giveaways, raffles, and free food. There will also be tons of things to do like taking pictures in a photobooth, writing holiday letters to veterans, and much more. Make sure to grab a friend and enjoy all that Winter Glamourland has to offer while also benefiting an amazing cause!
Why
This event is to benefit She’s the First. For those of you who don’t know, She’s the First is a nonprofit organization that advocates for equality, training, and mentoring for girls around the world. They help girls and young women get access to an education, focus on mentorship to help the girls get through any obstacles they may face, and have global leadership trainings so others can get involved. In their words, “an educated girl is still the exception, not the norm, in too many places worldwide.” Education is power, and this organization does so much for girls who wouldn’t have otherwise gotten the opportunity to go to school. So, a night dedicated to a good cause that’s also tons of fun? That’s a double win if you ask me!
Where & When
This event is taking place at The Hub on Thursday, December 6th from 7-9 PM. The Hub’s address is 601 South First Street in Champaign, located directly beneath the Healey Place apartments.
Who
We need YOU to come join us at our biggest event this semester. Without you, Glamourland couldn’t happen! Tickets are only $7, and don’t forget to bring some friends along for an eventful night out. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by contacting any Her Campus Illinois member.
