If you’re a girl with curly or wavy hair, you know what a struggle it can be to wash, tame and style your locks. The whole process can be very exhausting, and the worst feeling is when your hair doesn’t turn out the way you intended it to. As a curly girly myself, I’m here to tell you some of the products I love to use to help tame my hair and make it look its best. Of course, everyone’s hair type is different, so make sure to figure out where you fall on the spectrum first before buying any products. Personally, I fall between the 2B-3A range, so the products I will be sharing are catered towards this hair type. Also, everyone’s hair reacts differently to different products, so just because something works for me it may not necessarily work for you. Adopting a good hair care routine is all about trial and error! Okay, let’s hop into it.

1. AS I AM Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner

When I first started shifting over to the curly girl hair method (aka using products for your hair that are natural, not too harsh and adopting hair care practices that allow your curls or waves to really live their best life), this was one of the first products I bought, and it transformed my hair. A cowash is a swap for shampoo, and it allows for your hair to not be stripped so harshly of the natural oils your scalp produces. This promotes stronger, healthier hair and more moisture for your curls. I used this almost every wash, with a purple shampoo every three washes to keep my blonde bright, and my hair has become so much more hydrated and soft.

2. Jessicurl Rockin’ Ringlets Styling Potion

This product does wonders for helping to form my curls and keep them solidified, but soft and touchable all day long and for multiple days after! This product is used after a shower on wet hair (wet, not damp, to lock in moisture), and you scrunch it into your hair which helps to form the curls all around your head. I usually let it air dry from there, but you can also use a diffuser. I’m telling you, this product will give you the most defined yet not crunchy curls ever, you need it!

3. Aussie Miracle Curls Leave-In Detangling Milk

If you have curly or wavy hair, you know the endless struggle of having to comb or brush through knots in your hair all the time. Especially after a shower, my hair is literally one ginormous knot and it’s so painful to brush out! With this detangling milk from Aussie, all I have to do is apply it over my hair like I’m running my hand over my ponytail, and all of a sudden my brush glides through my hair. It’s seriously magical. With coconut & Australian jojoba oil in it, it makes my hair feel insanely soft and smell so good! I highly recommend it.

I hope these products were helpful for any curly or wavy girlies out there! I know having this kind of hair can be such a pain in the butt, but it’s also an incredible blessing and I really wouldn’t have it any other way.
