Who doesn’t love a fall themed dessert? What would October be without pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pies. Baking is arguably one of the best things about the Holidays. While some people might find baking stressful, I find it to be relaxing and therapeutic.

There are so many things you can make, and I use baking as one of my creative outlets.

I’d like to share my favorite recipes to give you ideas for the fall season.

  1. Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Basic but you can never go wrong with some brown butter. Browning butter takes lots of patience, but it is so worth it, all it takes is melting butter and swirling it around the pot until it foams into a brown foam. The brown butter adds a nutty flavor to the cookie and is even better if the cookies are sprinkled with some sea salt. I also personally prefer to add dark chocolate rather than the classic milk for a richer taste. Who doesn’t love a good chocolate chip cookie?

Broma Bakery has a good recipe for these special cookies; they have a step by step on how to brown butter which will be helpful for beginners.

  1. Mini Apple Pies

Apple pies are simple and delicious, especially perfect if you have recently gone apple pie picking or have taken a trip to the pumpkin patch market, there are multiple recipes online that will go through a step by step on how to make the dough but I like to keep it simple and get some store bought pie crusts, roll out the dough and with a mason jar lid I cut out little circles for the tiny pies.

For the inside of the tiny pies, I like to cut up 3 red apples into cubes and boil them with butter, ½ cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla, and 2 tsp of cinnamon. After the apple mixture is warm and the apples are soft, I sandwich the mixture between 2 apple pie cutouts and make the pie indents with a fork. Then I add an egg wash to it and place them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. This recipe is quick, simple and easy and is a favorite at my house!

  1. Cinnamon Roll Bundt Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Bundt cakes and cinnamon rolls? Count me in! The New York Times has a recipe for this delicious cake, which makes 8 to 12 servings. The recipe has a rating of 5 stars, and it only takes about 1 hour and a half to make.

While I have not tried this recipe out, it is definitely on my list, and I felt as though I should share it!

  1. Apple Cider Spice Muffins

While looking for more recipes, I stumbled upon a recipe for apple cider spice muffins from Sally’s baking. This recipe has an apple flavor from 3 different sources of apples and a sweet buttery sugary cinnamon topping; it is also dairy free! The recipe has an average of 4.9 stars and there are thousands of comments down below if you have any questions.

  1. Apple Croissant bites

I went back home last weekend and made some apple croissant bites. It was simple and quick and at first, it was hard to make the croissant shapes and some of them looked funny but the more I made the better I got at making the shapes. I bought some pre-made croissant dough and cut up a whole apple into regular apple slices.

I rolled the dough out and cut it into triangles, I then made a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and added it over a buttered triangle of dough. I then added the apple slice at the base of the triangle and used a dough cutter to cut 3 lines in the middle of the triangle and then rolled the apple into the dough and kept rolling until the 3 lines I cut split and made a crescent shape over the apples. The process sounds difficult, but it is way easier in the moment of rolling. Each dough can make about 8, I got 2 cans, made 16 croissants and my family loved them! They were gone that same evening.

Thank you for reading! I hope I have inspired you to bake something sweet and warm for some good fall season vibes! If there is any recipe that caught your attention, I definitely recommend setting aside some time and having a peaceful hour or two of baking with some fall jazz in the background for the coziest vibes. I will definitely make another article just like this for the upcoming Holidays!
