6 Reasons Why Breakfast Is the Best Meal of the Day

It was the only thing between you getting on the dreaded bus headed to elementary school. It was the thing in high school you almost always forgot to do. It has cured you from countless hangovers. Yes, people I am talking about the greatest meal of the day: breakfast. Whether it is healthy and light breakfast or a serious stack of seven pancakes, breakfast is always there for you every morning. As we’ve grown up breakfast, has grown up with us-from Dino egg oatmeal to being able to have champagne in your orange juice. Here’s all the reasons breakfast is the best meal of the day:

 

1.     Defines your day

The vibes for your day are defined by what you eat for breakfast that morning. A bowl of fruit and glass of orange juice can make you feel super fit and encourage you to maybe eat healthier throughout the day. Or a full breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes can leave you feeling satisfied and ready for your day.

2.     Perfect pick me up

So either you went way too hard while you were out or way too hard on that paper you probably should have done a lot sooner than last night, breakfast is always there for you. The beautiful thing about breakfast is that it’s so simple so it doesn’t matter how tired you are. A simple bowl of cereal or piece of toast with peanut butter and banana will give you the kick in your butt you need to take on the day.

 

3.     Pancakes

Pancakes alone are a justifiable reason to say breakfast is bomb AF! Guys you can basically have cake for breakfast and no one will judge you. Not only that, but the vast variety you can get your pancakes in is unfathomable, like red velvet pancakes! What? Yes, sign me up please!  America’s greatest breakfast food is pancakes…therefore everyone loves them.

4.     It’s actually SUPER important

Since we were little, people have been telling us that breakfast is “brain food,” and it is something we should have every day. As life caught up with us we all neglected what was always there for us: breakfast. According to statistics people who skip breakfast have lower test scores. Finals are right around the corner, get smart and eat breakfast!

5.     Bonding time

Walking into the kitchen on a Saturday morning is a feeling that never leaves you. Whether it be seeing your parents getting breakfast for you and your siblings or talking with your roommates over scrambled eggs about your upcoming plans. The day starts with bonding over breakfast.

6.     Breakfast for dinner

Breakfast is so good; dinner will be taken over by sizzling bacon and tall glasses of chocolate milk. Breakfast for dinner is a real thing for sure, and do you know why? Because when in doubt go with what you love and that is breakfast! You can have breakfast for dinner but you can’t have dinner for breakfast…unless you’re crazy.
