What’s in My Summer Survival Kit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Vera Bradley Everything

Vera Bradley products have such vibrant colors to them they’re perfect for summer. I have so many Vera towels because not only are they colorful, but big and absorbent as well! You don’t have to worry about sitting around in a wet baiting suit because these dry you right off. Alongside my towel I have my matching wallet because what’s the point of going to the beach if you’re not planning on buying some cold treats while you’re there?

Pure Silk Shaving Cream

These bottles are the perfect mini size for on-the-go. Nobody is shaming you for keeping a razor and some shaving cream in your bag. Plus, they smell amazing and leave my skin feeling so smooth.

Monthly Gift Box

Is there anything more embarrassing than going to hang out with that cute guy on the beach for the day and realizing you just got your period? Yes, it’s realizing you just got your period and you don’t have any feminine products. Carrying a monthly gift box on me means I’m covered for my emergencies all summer, and I’ve got the chocolate for when I’m on the go and desperately craving.

Camelbak Forge Divide Mug

Okay, I know this is technically a thermal, but you know what else it’s good for? Keeping drinks cold. I fill it up with ice and some water and I’m set for the day. If I’m out in the sun, no worries, this bottle keeps my drink super cold. Plus, it’s spill proof so you don’t have to worry about soaking everything in your bag.

Brappz Strap

Raise your hand if you hate bikinis because your boobs really just don’t feel comfortable in those skimpy straps. These are a lifesaver. The colors are vibrant and look good with any bathing suit, and they’re a lot sturdier than a cloth strap. They will keep the girls in so that you can be out in the sun without having to worry.
