Remember that time in the early 2000s when Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys and N’Sync were on every girl’s boom box? We cannot forget another artist who was young and a teenage heartthrob for every young girl, Jesse McCartney. This boy and his beautiful soul have been around since the days of Dream Street in 1999, went solo, faded out, came back, and repeated that once more.

During his beginning years, he appeared on Disney Shows such as “The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody” and “Hannah Montana,” and has acted in other shows such as “Summerland” and voiced in movies like “Alvin and the Chipmunks.” As the years went on he began to create more music and is now up to 3 albums. Let’s also throw in that this boy has some serious dance moves. Basically, this 27-year-old is a triple threat.

He was my first concert that I’ve ever seen. He performed with Jordin Sparks in a small arena, and there were 6 rows of seats that separated us. This past summer he released his latest album “In Technicolor” and went on tour. Still practically in love with my celebrity crush from 5 years old, I decided to buy tickets for his concert. Not only did I pay for concert tickets, but I paid to meet him as well. I spent weeks freaking out on my outfit and what I was going to wear and worrying about burping or puking in front of him. Lucky for me, that wasn’t the case.

Letting out an excitingly nervous “hello,” I met the green-eyed beauty and he turned out to be one of the sweetest people I’ve ever come to speak to.  Given the amount of time I was able to talk to him and take a picture with him (2 minutes), it was a perfect experience. I asked for a hug and didn’t want to let go, but he then told me to enjoy the show, and I did.

Standing for 10 hours straight (from being on line and standing in a general admission plaza the entire concert), I can honestly say that it was worth it, because his humor, sweetness and raw talent made this a heart-melting experience.
