The Most Karl Lagerfeld Inspired Looks of the 2023 Met Gala

The 2023 Met Gala carried some of the most on-theme looks of the red carpet, despite the controversies facing this year’s Met Gala theme, Karl Lagerfeld, who is known for many experimental designs for Chanel but his most famous design: the current Chanel logo.

The common trends of the night, taken from Lagerfeld’s design style, were black and white, experimental materials and textures (tweed, feathers, various metals, sparkle, etc.), unique silhouettes, and some of Karl Lagerfeld’s own designs. Most attendees used inspiration from Lagerfeld’s past designs and made it their own.
