The cold weather has finally arrived and, if you’re like me, you’ve already switched out your autumn wardrobe for your winter one. With all those warm, fuzzy sweaters, though, you may have forgotten you’ll need cute shoes to wear with them. Here is a list of the shoes you should have in your wardrobe this winter.
The first pair of shoes—my personal favorite for winter—is the “Bean Boot.” Coming from New England where the winters are long and the snow is always piled high, I can attest that these boots are some of the best. I never have to worry about my feet getting cold when walking in the snow, especially since you can buy fuzzy inserts to keep your feet warm and comfortable. They are also great rain boots on days when you don’t want to end up with soaked feet. These shoes are very practical, and they’re also super cute!
Ankle booties are always a cute addition. Somehow they always manage to match flawlessly with any outfit. The basic colors that I have found to go best with many different outfits are brown, black and gray. There are other colors, too, such as navy, maroon and green, that can spice up your wardrobe.
Another pair of shoes you should own is a pair of moccasins. Yet again, L.L. Bean makes the list with their “Wicked Good Moccasins” that are unbelievably comfortable. I have yet to get a pair, but it is on the top of my Christmas list. Imagine just being able to slide on these slipper-like shoes in the morning before class or work.
Over-the-knee boots have always been stylish, but recently they have become one of the biggest trends. They are not only surprisingly comfortable, but can help keep your legs warm when the cold really starts to set in. This style is also super cute, especially when worn over a pair of leggings or skinny jeans. Over-the-knee boots are an essential for your winter wardrobe— hands down.
Whether it be Uggs, Bear Paws or another brand, some form of fuzzy boots are a must. Though they haven’t always been considered a fashion statement, many celebrities have proved that these shoes can be convenient and chic. They’re amazing for those bitterly cold days when your feet really need to be kept warm and cozy.
If you’re willing to try a style that may be out of your comfort zone, then combat boots may be right for you. I wasn’t sure how combat boots would fit into my style, but I just got my first pair and they are ridiculously cute. They also add a bit of a chic edge to any outfit.
Don’t be afraid to change up your style and try different shoes. All of these styles can keep your feet warm while still being cute and comfortable!
