Magnolia Bakery
If you have a sweet tooth, Magnolia Bakery is the place to go. You will understand why the line is always so long once you have had your first dessert there. I am partial to the Columbus Avenue location because of its roomy seating area.
?My Recommendation: Banana Pudding (slices of banana and Nilla wafers mixed in creamy pudding)
Locations
Rockefeller Center: 1240 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10020 (shown here)
Bleecker Street: 401 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10014
Grand Central Terminal: 15 Vanderbilt Ave, New York, NY 10017 (located in the lower level, dining concourse)
Columbus Avenue: 200 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10023
Bloomingdales: 1000 3rd Ave, Manhattan, NY 10022 (NEW)
Saks Fifth Avenue
You have to visit the original Saks Fifth Avenue at least once. Take a look around this massive department store. The main attraction? An entire floor dedicated to shoes. Even if you aren’t a shopaholic, this is something to see and you’ll be glad you went.
?My Recommendation: 8th Floor Shoe Department (enough said)
611 5th Ave, Manhattan, NY 10022

Alice’s Tea Cup
Whether you’re a fan of afternoon tea or you’ve never had it, you should treat yourself to high tea when it’s time to take a break from exploring the city. Alice’s Tea Cup is a quaint tea room filled with returning customers and birthday party groups. There is usually a lengthy wait but it’s worth it. They are known for their scones and if you can’t stay, you can purchase scones by the door.
?My Recommendation: Pumpkin Scone
