WHAT ARE YOU INVOLVED IN ON CAMPUS?
“I am on the eight time national champion cheerleading team. I am on the game team, not quite ready for competition team. I am working on it though—I’m definitely improving. I am also in Hofstra Concerts. That is fun because we plan events.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING INVOLVED WITH HOFSTRA CONCERTS?
“Probably meeting all of the people, everyone is really unique and has different music styles in that club, and it is interesting to see how we come together and plan shows, like Freak Formal and Music Fest.”
DESCRIBE YOUR LIFE AS A HOFSTRA CHEERLEADER?
“Life as a cheerleader is very time consuming. We have practices on Sunday evenings, Wednesday nights, Friday afternoons, and we also have to cheer at men’s and women’s basketball games, so that is usually Friday or Saturday nights. We also do a lot of charity events; we did the St. Jude’s Walk, Epilepsy Walk at Eisenhower Park, and we are going to do the Polar Plunge coming up.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING ON THE CHEER TEAM?
“My favorite part of being on the cheer team is all of the things that I learn. You learn time-management, how to push through things, how to be in front of a crowd—which I think is an important skill. Our coach is amazing; she teaches us so many life-lessons. She gives us opportunities, like I have been on Fox News because of her.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING A HOFSTRA STUDENT?
“My favorite part of being a Hofstra student would have to be the communications program. I think that we have a great program. We are so close to the city, which is great for internships. I think that because of all of the things that the communications program offers, like The HEAT Program are great opportunities; they are all looking to excel peoples’ futures, and I think that this is a great place to be.”
WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE DREAM JOB?
“My ultimate dream job would be a major host, like how Ryan Secrest hosts multiple TV shows.”
