Last Minute Mother’s Day Plans

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Moms all over the world do so much for their kids, families and those they love. If you don’t already have something planned for Mother’s Day, check out these ideas to show your mom you care! It’s never too late for you to find a great way to celebrate your mom on her special day.

Dining Out or Dining In

You can call up a bunch of restaurants and see if they would be able to squeeze a table in on the day. Some restaurants can be very accommodating when someone is in a bind. Besides restaurants, a great last minute plan is cooking a gourmet meal with fresh food from the supermarket. It is made with love which every mom will love!

Fun Times Together as a Family

Another plan that would be great for Mother’s Day is watching a movie or playing games together with your family. Quality family time always brightens a mom’s day. If you have a small family, have some friends or extended family over for Mother’s Day, if they don’t have any other plans. It is always good to have extra company.

Fun Activities to Do with Mom

Try baking on Mother’s Day! It’s a lot of fun to bake on Mother’s Day, with your mother. If you have siblings, have them join in on the action. It’s all about making something delicious, like a cake, cookies or cupcakes and  putting a smile to you mom’s face. Planting new flowers and plants can be another option. New flowers add a glow to any backyard or space you call home. Adding pretty colors to the outdoors is a sure way to make mom happy.

At the end of the day, everyone is so happy to see each other that getting gifts means nothing as long as you are together with those you love.
