Intern Fashion

We've all heard various lessons on how to prepare for internships: What to bring to an interview, how to stand out in the office, and even what to pack for lunch! But, what we seldom get to see is an inside look at what people wear at their internships. If you take a look at the interns at a well-known teen magazine in NY, it may be difficult to get a feel of what the general intern should wear. Get a peek of three intern looks below:

Business Casual

Rachel, '13

This look works because it shows you are a professional.

All of the necessary body parts are covered and flats are extremely helpful — you never know when you'll be sent on an errand & forced to run around the city!

Cute & Comfy

Chelsea, '13

Chelsea paired jeans with a set of black pumps and fun top. Particularly at this publication, this is exactly how the environment is on a normal day (unless the deadlines are nearing, in which case... not so laid back).

This look works because it shows that you're stylish, yet laid back at the same time.

Courtney, '12

With a stunning Tracy Reese dress and Cole Haan heels, there's definitely a reason why a magazine that specializes in teen fashion would think Courtney would make a star intern!

This look works because it shows you're a fashionista!

Three different ways to dress at the same company, yet all of them work!

What do you think of the Hofstra intern fashion looks? Which one's your favorite?
