If Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Were Hofstra Students

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

If you don’t know already (and how could you not), Hofstra University hosted for the third time the First Presidential Debate. What did this entail? Trump and Hillary gracing Hofstra for just a few hours in the nations most watched job interview. During a political panel leading up to the debate keynote speaker Stephen F. Hayes mentioned that what people want to see in the next presidential candidate is whether or not they would sit with them in a pub for pint. But more importantly, would they rage with you until Bangers is closed. As I pondered this answered I thought about what Hofstra would be like if the candidates went to school with us.

Hillary Clinton:

  • President of Student Government Association
  • Hofstra Pride Guide
  • RA of Constitution – the one that actually writes you up

  • Prime Frequenter of Axinn Library
  • Hofstra Honors College in Dual Degree Program
  • Member of NAACP
  • Former Student Aid Secretary of Hofstra Hall (fired for improper use of emails)

Donald Trump:

  • President of Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike)
  • Member of Golf Team
  • Frequent Donator to Hofstra College Republicans
  • Screenwriter for Thursday Night Live
  • Treasurer for Financial Management Association
  • Happy Hour Fanatic

It’s a shame really, these candidates would better serve Hofstra’s campus but too bad they are running for President of the United States. One can only hope their successors down the line will make up for their absence on campus!

Hofstra '17 Hofstra Chapter Vice President (December '16 - December '17) From a young age Naledi has been obsessed with all things pop culture and entertainment. Through writing for Her Campus she has been able to reach a large audience of badass collegiate women who share her crazy passions as well. Beyond Her Campus Naledi is IN LOVE with Hofstra. Her favorite part? The school of comm for allowing her to branch out and get a real dip into the real world prior to graduating. Additionally Naledi is one of those classic people who studies abroad in the spring of 2016 and won't ever stop talking about it! Her best advice? Go and see the world kids and fall in love with your major like Ali and Noah from the Notebook fell in love with each other.
