HC Hofstra Tries PinchMe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Who loves free stuff?

I know I do, so when I first heard about PinchMe, I thought it was the coolest thing. I’m sure you’ve all heard about monthly subscription boxes like Ipsy or Birchbox, but PinchMe is a completely different ball game. There is NO price at all!

Basically, you sign up for a PinchMe account, choose products from their leading brands, and then free samples are sent to you. After you’re done trying them out and most likely falling in love with a new product, you can head back over to their website and fill out a review. It’s that easy!

I had a sample box sent to me and I was far from disappointed. There was a ton of stuff in it ranging from snacks, to Advil, to nail polish! Here is a rundown of what was in my box:

1. Bobble Water Bottle

I don’t know if you’ve seen these nifty little water bottles, but they are truly awesome. They are small enough to throw in your purse on the way to work or class and they have a top so they don’t spill. Plus they include a filter so you can drink the freshest water without using up plastic bottles!

2. Ecotools Facial Sponge

I was skeptical at first of this one – but it really is great for your skin! Use this sponge with a bit of cleanser to really clean out your pores and get a good scrub.

3. American Crew Men’s Shaving Oil

I must say I haven’t personally used this product but I’m planning on giving it to one of my guy friend’s to enjoy!

4. Tony & Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum

This is the perfect little bottle to travel with or stick in your purse. I like to put shine serum on the ends of my hair where it’s a bit duller to give it a great glossy look.

5. VBeaute Skincare System

I got samples for all four steps of this skincare system. I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, but I’m excited to give it a whirl.

6. Sheba Chicken and Liver Cat Food

I don’t have a cat, but I can’t wait to bring this over to the local shelter and let one of the kitties have a special dinner. For cat food, it doesn’t look half bad!

7. Advil PM

Advil – the key to life. You can really never get enough of it.

8. Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo

This shampoo is perfect for anyone who uses a lot of product or dyes their hair often.

9. Hollywood Fashion Tape

Wearing a cute little top, but terrified of the dreaded nip-slip? This fashion tape will keep everything in place so you can dance the night away!

10. SkinnyGirl Nutrition Bar

Yum! Bethenney Frankel knows snacks.

11. Suave Advanced Therapy Lotion

I rubbed this lotion all over my legs when I got out of the shower and it was heavenly and left a crisp, clean scent.

12. Revlon by Marchesa Nail File

Everyone has a nail file buried in the bottom of their purse. When you have to pull it out on the subway or at the office, why not make it a cute one?

13. Sinful Colors in Folly

This color is bright and fun, which is just what I need in the middle of winter.

If all of that hasn’t sold you yet, I don’t know what will! For more information on PinchMe check out their website or follow them on Twitter @pinchme.
