Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than to throw a party with all of your best friends in the spirit of the holiday? We’ve compiled a list of everything you need to throw a great party full of fun, friends and food. Follow these tips and your Galentine’s party will definitely be one for the books!

Decorations

Every good Galentine’s Day party needs some décor to brighten up the space and get everyone in the spirit of the occasion. Put up some pink, red and white streamers to create a make-shift photo booth perfect for any photo-ops or scatter some heart-shaped confetti around a flowery centerpiece to dress up the tables. Show off your DIY skills with some paper-hanging decorations or blow up some balloons to create your own balloon arch. There are so many ways to dress up your party space, so really get creative and don’t be afraid to go all out.

Snacks+ Drinks

Valentine’s Day comes with a plethora of cute snacks to share with your besties. If you want something sweet, pick up some chocolates, conversation hearts, or even a cute heart-shaped cake to share. Sweet not your style? Put together a Valentine’s-themed charcuterie board or make some heart-shaped pizzas. Pair these snacks with some fancy-looking mocktails or festively colored beverages (pink lemonade and cherry Kool-Aid never fail to impress) in order to create a delicious-looking display that your friends are sure to enjoy.

Activities

Here are some ideas that are sure to keep your besties engaged and having fun.

Turn Up The Music: Put on your favorite love songs, break up songs or girl power anthems and dance around your living room or sing some karaoke with your friends – it never fails to put everyone in a good mood.

Movie Night: Break out some popcorn (and maybe some tissues too) and binge-watch all of your favorite romance movies, maybe even create a game out of it such as a bingo card with popular aspects of the genre.

Painting Party: Grab some canvases, a paintbrush and your favorite colors and get creative. You can pull up a tutorial on YouTube to follow, give everyone a theme or just paint from the heart. However you choose to paint, this activity will channel your friends’ inner Picasso and leave them with a beautiful creation to put on display

Valentine’s Baskets

A nice little bag or basket of goodies is the perfect thing to send your guests home with after a long night of partying. Throw in some of your friend’s favorite snacks, maybe throw in a face mask or some nail polish and top it all off with a little Valentine telling your besties how much you love them. These little parting gifts are a surefire way to show your friends your appreciation and give them a souvenir from a night filled with memories and fun.
