Brockhampton
This week, Up & Coming is featuring Brockhampton, a 15-member boy band. Unique right? The group formed on a Kanye West fan page and their love for rap inspired them to come together and form their own musical group.
Unbelievably, Brockhampton has been able to release THREE albums in only one year. The trilogy is made up of Saturation, Saturation II, and Saturation III. Brockhampton definitely has no shortage of content for their listeners.
The band is unique in the fact that they credit their producers, photographers, web designers, and videographers all as part of the band. They have the qualities of a full record label within their band alone.
Another factor that sets Brockhampton apart from many other artists is the fact that many members of Brockhampton are multiracial or identify as queer. The group breaks stereotypes by talking about homophobia and racism which are often not highlighted in the music scene.
I am absolutely loving everything that Brockhampton has released and I cannot wait till the rest of the world loves them as much as I do.
