Many wellness influencers and interior decorators online have praised the Hatch Restore 3 alarm clock for its sleep benefits as well as its chic, simple design. People seem to love it for its customizability, natural sleep aid and beauty. But for prospective buyers, an unbiased opinion that seriously evaluates the merits and faults of the clock is necessary to make sure that, since we live in a world increasingly dominated by social media advertising and sponsored content, they are not buying it simply because it looks good on social media but because of a genuine want or need.

As shown across social media, the Hatch Restore 3 is a customizable, sleek alarm clock with a fabric display. It comes in three main shades– putty, greige and cocoa – which are pale neutral browns that can go well with any bedroom. In the spring of 2025, a limited edition pink colorway (called “rosy”) was released, but has since been discontinued. The clock is a semicircle shape with the time display on the bottom third and the top two-thirds being a dim screen with a linen-type fabric stretched over it.

The clock’s claim to fame, however, is its functionality; it is a “sunrise” clock, which describes the way the clock begins its alarm: a gentle, colorful simulation of a sunrise. By default, the sunrise begins thirty minutes before the alarm sound goes off. The best part is that both the sunrise and the alarm sound are completely customizable. Not only are the volume and brightness of the alarm customizable through the Hatch Sleep app, but the color of the sunrise and the sound that plays are personalizable as well. Hatch boasts many different options for each, including special collaborations with Gilmore Girls, Twilight and Sex and the City. The clock also features wind-down time, where at a time of the user’s choosing a soundscape and light (again, custom!) will play, reminding the user to get ready for bed.

The Hatch Restore 3 is an investment at $169.99, but for those willing to splurge on their wellness and nighttime routine will get their money’s worth. It is more than a statement piece – the clock is both beautiful as well as functional, able to completely attune itself to the needs of the customer. The clock helps to make bedtime feel special and fun, encouraging users to take care of themselves and build a healthy sleep cycle. Sleep is the foundation of mental and physical health, and the Hatch Restore 3 helps to emphasize its importance.
