Having a dope eye shadow collection is every girl’s dream. You want all of the perfect neutrals and some gorgeous shimmers as well. Finding the perfect palette or two might be hard because there are so many to choose from, but I’ve picked out six of the best palettes to make your shadow collection ah-mazing.
NAKED BASICS
Everyone still loves the Naked, Naked 2 and 3 palettes. But one of my favorites for neutral colors is the Naked Basics palette. Urban Decay also carries a Naked Basics 2 palette now, with a darker color scheme. Naked Basics has light pinks, a creamy color called “Foxy” and a dark brown and black. This all-matte palette is the perfect pairing with the other Naked palettes. It has six colors total and costs $29.
TARTE RAINFOREST OF THE SEA
This limited edition palette features eight everyday shadows. Tarte is a make up brand that is formulated without parabens, so it’s vegan and not tested on animals. I love this palette because it’s packaged in a cute circle compact great for travel. If you like the beachy bronze look, this palette is for you. The eight pretty colors are gorgeous sea-inspired shades. It’s available at Sephora for $34.
SMASHBOX FULL EXPOSURE
This palette has fourteen shades from nudes to blacks, smooth mattes and shimmers. There are seven shimmers on top row and seven matte colors on the bottom. It even comes with a brush! If you order it online it includes a 24-hour shadow primer sample. This palette is on the expensive side at $52, but it will last you a lifetime and you’ll be set with colors. It’s also available in travel size containing eight colors, for half the price.
BOUDIOR EYES by TOO FACED
This is the perfect palette if you like the soft and sexy eyes look. Too Faced has some of my favorite shadow colors. This palette contains delicate pink shades and some purples. Too Faced makes their palettes with three sections: Day, Classic, and Fashion and a Glamour Guide is included to help you create three Boudoir Eye looks. They each start with the base color on the left and the two colors to the right of it go with each color theme. Getting nine colors for $36 is a pretty good deal!
READY EYESHADOW 4.0
bareMinerals makes four-color palettes in a variety of shades that are award winning. This palette is perfect for the girl who may not wear a lot of make up, or sticks to the same colors. My favorite is the earthy toned palette called “Soundtrack”. It contains colors “Rhythm”, “Louder”, “Remix”, and “Speaker Box”. This palette is available on bareescentuals.com for $30.
Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow
This compact comes in nine different color combinations. The color “Pied-De-Poule 96” is perfect for the girl who loves smoky eyes. Christian Dior’s 5-color palette contains five shades to dazzle your lids and two tiny brushes. I’ve had my palette for over five years; so investing in expensive designer make up is worth it. This palette is available at Dior and Sephora for $62.
