The changing leaves, over abundance of pumpkin flavor, and return of sweaters can only mean one thing. Fall has returned! The start of the new season calls for typical fall activities including apple picking, prepping for the spooky and holiday times, as well as cozying up with a hot beverage and a good book. While there is always a good time to read, getting lost in a great story during the fall, is an easy way to unwind and relax. Take a look at these five books that will definitely give you big fall energy.

The Outlander Series

The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon is the perfect read for fall. With each book coming in at over 600 pages, the series is a great combination of historical fiction, romance, and fantasy. These books are cozy, but also intense and are sure to be proven a worthy read this season. The books take place in England to start, in the middle of the 1900’s, soon taking readers back in time to Scotland in the 1700’s. The main characters Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser bring the book to life and will certainly give you all the feels.

The world building and character development makes you feel like a part of the story, and what’s better than truly getting lost in a book?

Then She Was Gone

Thrillers are one of the most recommended genres during the fall, and Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell is no exception. This will help amplify the spookiness of the season.
