Holiday spirit is in the air once again! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time to make those holiday plans with our close family and friends. New York City seems like the best place to be on Thanksgiving, it’s so incredibly joyful! Normally, there is always so much to do in the city but on the holidays there are some special activities you shouldn’t miss out on. When you and your family are ready to get away from the turkey dinner, here’s what you should do next:

1. Macy’s Parade Balloon Inflation

The day before the big and anticipated Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you can go watch the gigantic balloons inflate. See Kermit the Frog, Sonic the Hedgehog, Buzz Lightyear, and many more come to life!

2. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thanksgiving morning, sit on the sidelines and enjoy the famous and festive Macy’s parade filled with giant balloons, dancers, Santa, and celebrity performances! Everyone in the family is sure to enjoy this.

3. Ice-skating in Central Park

If you’re in NYC in the wintertime, it’s absolutely necessary to go ice-skating! And what better place than Central Park when all the trees are glistening with snow!

4. Top of the Rock, Rockefeller center

I did this activity for the first time a few weeks ago and it is amazing! Take your family to see a beautiful view of New York City. I heard it’s best at sunset.

5. Radio City Christmas Spectacular

This is probably everyone’s annual holiday activity! This incredibly festive show is brimming with jolly music, wooden soldiers, Santa’s elves, and the famous dancing Rockettes. It’s Christmas galore!
