5 Festive Treats to Make for the Holiday Season

Whether it be for Christmas, Hanukah or Kwanzaa, these treats will easily get you in the holiday spirit!

1) Hershey KISS Candy Cane Blossoms

These cute little sugar cookies, topped with a peppermint chocolate Hershey kiss, are super easy to make and a classic holiday treat. 

What You’ll Need:

  • 48 HERSHEY’S KISSES Brand Candy Cane Mint Candies
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick), softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/3 cup red or green sugar crystals, granulated sugar or powdered sugar for rolling

2) Holiday Pinwheel Cookies

These aren’t just your average sugar cookies. With a colorful spiral center and an outside coating of sprinkles, these are both festive and unique. While they look complicated to make, they’re actually very easy!

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring paste
  • Colored sugar or sprinkles of your choice

3) Peppermint Bark

What’re the holidays without a peppermint treat?

What You’ll Need:

  • 12 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 12 oz. white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 8 candy canes, crushed 

4) Milano Reindeer Cookies

This is literally the EASIEST holiday treat you could possibly make.

What You’ll Need:

  • 15 pretzels
  • 1/4 c. marshmallow Fluff
  • 15 Milano Cookies
  • 1 tsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 can store-bought vanilla frosting
  • 30 brown mini M&Ms
  • 15 red M&Ms (full size)

5) Buddy the Elf Cookies

Now this one is by far the cutest and most unique treat you’ll ever see. Not only is it based off of the funniest Christmas movie, Elf, but it will also taste a thousand times better than Buddy the Elf’s actual sugary, spaghetti breakfast. 

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 bag white chocolate chips (12 oz)
  • 3 c. chow mein noodles
  • 1/2 c. marshmallow bits
  • 1 bottle chocolate syrup
  • 1 jar rainbow sprinkles
