4 St. Patrick’s Day Mocktails

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

It’s that time again! Green, green, green and even more green. St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner and in honor of celebrating the fine Irish culture, here are some delicious St. Patty’s Day mocktails.

1. Homemade Shamrock Shake

(Makes 3 medium sized drinks)

– 4 Cups Vanilla ice cream

– 3/4 Cups Milk

– 1/4 Tsp. Peppermint

– 1/4 Tsp. Green Food Coloring

Place the ingredients in a blender and you’re good as gold (Irish gold that is!).

2. Green Tea Mojitos

(Makes one drink)

– 1 Tblsp. fresh lime juice

– 4 Large mint leaves

– 2 Teaspoons sugar

– Approx. 1/2 cup brewed green tea, chilled

Muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice and sugar until the leaves are lightly bruised. Then fill the glass with ice and pour in the green tea and enjoy! Irish you the best! (Sorry, I promise I will stop with the puns!)

3. St. Pattie’s Day Party Punch

(Makes enough for a party!)

– ½ Gallon rainbow sherbet

– 1 (2 liter) bottle of Sprite

– 1 Can of frozen lemonade

– Kiwi Wheels

Pour the sherbet into a punch bowl, add frozen lemonade and blend together. Then slowly pour Sprite while gently stirring. Lastly, finish off with a wheel of kiwi as garnish.

4. Green Surprise Mocktail

– 2 Parts grapefruit juice

– 1 Part sparkling water

– 1/4 lime

– 1 Drop green food coloring

– Crushed Ice

– Ice cubes

Fill a glass with ice, grapefruit juice and sparkling water. Then squeeze lime juice into the glass and add green food coloring.  Shake or stir until well combined!
