10 Cheap (and Chic) Valentines Day Dates

1. Movie Theatre Date– Every girl loves a sappy romantic chick flick, there’s no better day to go see one. This Valentine’s Day try going to see Endless Love! With your college student ID most theatres will give a great discount. This is something you can do with your boyfriend, or a group of girlfriends.

 

2. Dorm Date- Whether it’s from your favorite pizza parlor or your local Chinese restaurant, you can have a nice dinner date without actually having to leave your dorm. Afterwards, throw in a classic like The Notebook and cuddle up on the couch, maybe even pull out your favorite board games!

 

3. NYC Comedy Show- Being a Hofstra student means the city is easily accessible. There’s always a comedy show going on, some for as little as $5.00 a ticket!

 

4. Group Bar Date- Group dates are good for those who don’t really have that special someone this Valentines Day. Gather up all your single friends and hit up your local bar. You’re bound to have a good night.

 

5. Home Cooked Meal- Want to show off your cooking skills? For those of you who are lucky to have kitchens in your dorms, cook him something at home! The best way to a boy’s heart is through his stomach.

 

6. Romantic Walk in NYC- Sometimes the beauty of New York City alone is enough for one night. Take a romantic stroll through the city, maybe a walk through Central Park. Remember to bundle up!

 

7. Dylan’s Candy Bar Date- For those with a sweet tooth, try Dylan’s Candy Bar! Located on 3rd Ave, you’re bound to have an awesome night at this sweet filled shop!

 

8. Dinner at a Non-Expensive Restaurant- Restaurant’s like Chili’s, TGI Fridays, and Ruby Tuesdays are always a safe bet. Reasonably priced, and there’s something for everyone!

 

9. Ice Skating- There’s free admission ice skating at Bryant Park up until March 2nd, or if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to skate on a local pond!

 

10. Home Mani/Pedis- This is something great for all the single girls! Pop in a romantic comedy and you’re set for the night.
