How did you first become involved with Her Campus?

I was introduced to Her Campus by my Co-CC Lupe! She was transitioning into her CC position last summer, and we met through the Harvard Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning where we are both Learning Lab Undergraduate Fellows. We became friends immediately, and she told me to join Her Campus as a chapter writer. Now, I am a CC as well, and it works out so well because Lupe and I are such close friends!

What is your favorite article that you published?

My favorite article that I wrote is “What I Wish I knew My Freshman Year at Harvard”. Looking back as a junior, I realize that I could have had a much better time my first year at Harvard. I wanted to write about what I learned from my experiences so that other freshmen can go into their first year with a clearer mind than I did.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like going thrift shopping. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be a more responsible consumer. My goal is to only consume recycled clothing this year. I love to collect unique and beautiful articles. My makeup and my clothes are my favorite way to express myself. Something else I like to do in my free time is going to the gym! I love sweating it out and pushing myself. The best thing about exercising is getting an extra boost of energy for the rest of my day and feeling strong and healthy.

What is the way to your heart?

The way to my heart is definitely food. I’m not a picky eater at all. I will literally try any food, no matter how weird it seems, and there are very few foods in this world that I do not like. My favorite food that I could eat every day of my life is a Korean dish called tteok-bokki. It’s made out of rice cakes, fish cakes, and you can add glass noodles and veggies. All of this is then drenched in a deliciously spicy red sauce. The best part is adding mozzarella cheese and letting it melt on top of it.

What are some of your favorite songs/movies/books?

I like a lot of different types of music. I’m really into The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, and Nicki Minaj in particular. I love all types of movies except for horror. I’m also really into Marvel superhero movies and any movie that makes me cry. My favorite book of all time is Pride and Prejudice. I’m a sucker for Jane Austen.

What are some fun facts about yourself?

1. I’m really good at making ice cream cones with the soft serve machine. I always make perfect swirls.

2. My nails are always painted. It makes me feel polished (ha-ha, get it?) and put together.

3. I love wearing block heels. It makes me feel tall and powerful and balanced.

4. I have a dent at the top of my head underneath all my hair. It’s always been there, and I have no idea how it came to be.

5. I love museums! Art, history, natural history, science, all of them!
