So, we meet again. I’ve been waiting all year to see you again.

The feeling of the wind on my skin,

The smell of baked goods as the season rolls in.

I feel so cozy thinking about you and it didn’t even begin.

October vibes, I’m calling your name.

Shouting your name and not feeling ashamed.

I love sweater weather; makes me feel so good.

Being hugged by soft fabrics, knitted too.

Walking through campus I can’t help but smile.

You would too if you haven’t seen your friend in a while.

October vibes, why do you do this to me.

I feel like I should be sad seeing the trees naked from its leaves,

Grass brown instead of green.

Rainy days that once never went away,

Seems to never stay away.

But I’m happy.

Vanilla scented candles, pumpkin spice everything,

Everywhere I look I can’t help but feel that special something.

I walk in coffee shops like I’m all about my business,

In my stylish fall clothing,

I can’t help but think you’re below me.

I tell the cashier, “Latte me please.”

I watch him make it with such ease.

I drink it and it makes me feel so warm inside.

Any other time I would drink it and just feel alright.

But in October, I feel the vibes.

Duh, I feel alive.

Taking pictures with oranges, reds, and browns.

Scrolling through Instagram looking at baked goods ready to gain pounds.

During this time of year, everything just feels right.

Nothing can ever go wrong, not with such a beautiful sight.

Children picking out costumes for Halloween.

I’m all for it, just stay away, please.

Nothing against Halloween, but my vibe doesn’t include spooky.

It’s all about the beauty.

The scenery, the clothing, even the food.

The spooky kind of ruins the mood.

On the other hand, there are the festivals.

This is when things get very special.

In October it’s a principle,

Not really a ritual.

Listening to music, vibing with everyone.

October vibes, I’m calling your name.

Feeling ashamed? Read the words again.
