HC: What is something you will miss about Hampton after you graduate?

HL: Something I’ll miss after I graduate are all of my close friends I’ve made, my line sisters and my favorite professors. Hampton has allowed me to grow and meet people that push me to be the best version of me that I am destined to be.

HC:Why did you join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.?

HL: I joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. because I wanted to encompass myself around strong and confident women while giving back to my community. As well as respecting myself and others.

HC: What has been your favorite part about being in a sorority?

HL: My favorite thing about being in a sorority is spending time with my sisters and encouraging one another.

HC: What are some of your pet peeves?

HL: One of my pet peeves is when people chew with their mouths open and smack while eating.

HC: If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

HL: I would love to meet Oprah Winfrey because she’s the queen of all media. After I graduate, I aspire to be a news reporter and Ms. Winfrey is one of the trailblazers for African American women on national television. I would love to have the opportunity to pick her brain and hear more personal stories of her trials, tribulations and accomplishments!

HC: If you could give your younger self any advice, what would it be and why?

HL: I would tell my younger self the world is bigger than you think it is and worries aren’t as important as you think they are. Just be you.
