Must Try Makeup Looks to Do This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GSU chapter.

The time has come to trade in your high shine glosses for that bold statement lippie that you have been waiting to use since you stumbled on it in the spring. The crisp leaves already match that burnt orange sweater that you caught on sale and your new thigh high boots are a must have for when you want to be cute in the cooler temperatures.

But what about your face?

If you’re into make up like many of us are, then you are ready to try out the new palettes, blushes, lip sticks and highlighters that so many make up brands have to offer. But where do you start? You start with Her Campus GSU of course! We have some options that will work for so many girls that you may want to try.

The glittery bronzed golden glow

This look alone will pull your favorite outfit together or will even go nicely with a cute Tshirt and jeans. Your biggest products will be a bronzer that brings out your undertones, earth tone eye shadows that compliment you, a warm highlighter that will give you that megawatt glow and of course a lipstick that will have others wondering where you got it! Don’t forget to add a pop of glitter on your lid as a statement!

The slayed vampy look

This look is for those who love a good plum or red wine lip, as it will without a doubt be your statement piece. There are so many different eye looks that you can do with this look from neutral, to glam to a dramatic smokey eye! The key for this style is that if you really want to kick it up a notch, you should try your hand at an ombre or “gradient” lip. You start by outlining your lips in a darker color like red, brown or purple and then in the center you add a touch of a light red or light plum. After that a blending brush is your best accessory to make sure that everything blends as it should. Highlight your cupids bow and, bam! You’ve got your look.

The red look

This look is most likely the boldest of them all, with a striking red from tear ducts to cupids bow! Afraid to pull it off? Don’t be. Start with your eyes and smoke them out using a brown matte shadow and a fluffy brush. Next build up the intensity to your liking and go for a brick red color that you like. Try using that same fluffy brush and smoke out that red until it gives you that pop that you’re going for, after that clean up the excess shadow and apply mascara and your favorite lashes! Complete the look with a brick red lip and of course finish off your face.

We hope that you get some ideas from these posts and more! For more inspo search Pinterest and of course YouTube to find out what works for you.
