Is it almost October already?

We know, saying good bye to summer and hello to fall can be overwhelming, but it is also the prime time to give your closet the spoiling it deserves. Listen up ladies—a new fall wardrobe is calling your name.

Transitioning from summer crop tops to chunky fall sweaters can put a dent in your wallet if you’re not shopping at the right stores. Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of fall must-haves from inexpensive retailers so you can arrive to class in style.

Beret

This fall essential is not just adorable in France! To (pumpkin) spice up any drab outfit, add a neutral colored beret. This accessory is a fun and flirty alternative to the basic beanie.

Croissants and vanilla cappuccinos anyone?

Flannels with t-shirts

Flannels are an all-time favorite autumn staple. But, to add a little edge to your look, instead of buttoning up the flannel, try an oversized concert t-shirt underneath. You can even add fishnets to make this style more grunge.

No matter how you style this look, you are sure to turn heads.

Booties

Booties are a boost of confidence in a shoe. Instead of settling for your old Adidas Superstars, be the girl boss you are with a pair of fax suede ankle booties. Style these with boyfriend jeans and an army jacket for a fall outfit you will want to wear every day.

Loose sweaters

Arriving to class in fall means being comfy and classy. From study sessions in the library to coffee with friends, you will want to stay as cozy as possible.

The chilly cold front of fall has not quite hit Georgia yet, so we recommend a loose sweater rather than a heavy tight fit sweater.

To ensure you are not heating up while walking to class, try a wide neck line sweater with a breathable fit so you can wear it off your shoulder.

Plaid skirt

You can never go wrong with a plaid skirt. Cher Horowitz rocked this notorious school-girl look in 1995, and you will be serving looks even in fall 2018. Depending on your personal preference, you can dress this look up or down.

To dress it up, wear a matching two-piece set with long socks and Doc Marten dupes. For a more relaxed look, throw on your favorite fall sweater and some Converse.

Quilted crossbody bags

If you are looking for a new fall bag—look no further. To incorporate a chic but cozy look into your wardrobe, add a quilted crossbody. Forever 21 has several different colors you an choose from. While gothic black is a classic for colder months, mustard yellow is a pop of color that will be a statement piece for any autumn outfit.

Experiment with these different looks and tailor them to your personal style.

Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and find styles that work best for you. Be confident, strut your fall outfits and ring in the new season!
