We kicked off our this years Her Campus Pink Week with a bang! Monday, October 8 we held our EntrepreneurHER Talk involving various girl boss speakers to help give us some advice on being a young woman in college all while trying to start a business and to open up new possibilities!
Our speakers included Aeshia Devore Branch, founder of Pretty Girls Sweat, Debra Shigley, found of Get Colour business and app, Gabrielle Symone B, motivational speaker, published author, and personality and social influencer, Kendra L Conyers, generational wealth coach & Girls of Grace Inc. founder, and Windsor Hanger Western, Co-Founder of Her Campus.
Our conversations ranged from picking the right mentors, managing a career when it’s time to have a family, and humble beginnings that lead to their successful businesses.
One of the biggest takeaways from this panels was their different definitions of success, which is outlined below!
Debra shared that, “being in tune with the universe and accepting life as it comes is her definition of success.” Kendra said that, “success is being able to complete everything on your list when you get to the end of your life, and being able to leave this earth without any regrets.” Windsor believes that being able to constantly evolve over time aided her in sustaining her goals and of course, powerhouse Aeshia Devore Branch said, with a simple but great answer of just “happiness.”
We were also joined by former Her Campus GSU alumna, Her Campus at Clark Atlanta University and Her Campus at Agnes Scott College, be sure to follow our fellow Her Campus sisters!
