Her Campus: Why did you choose Georgia State University?
Jenny Vu: I chose to attend Georgia State University because of our outstanding nursing program. My goal in life is to become a pediatric nurse, and Georgia State is one of six public universities in Georgia to specialize in Pediatrics.
Her Campus: What is your favorite memory of Georgia State?
Jenny Vu: My favorite memory of Georgia State was when I got accepted into the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Health Professions. It was November 4, 2015, and I was in a meeting with my coworkers discussing the agenda. My friend had texted me and told me about his acceptance into the program. I immediately went to check my emails to see whether or not I was accepted. The first line read, “Dear Ms. Vu, Congratulations!” I immediately screamed with excitement in the middle of our meeting. My coworkers looked at me like I was crazy until I told them I finally received my acceptance into nursing school.
Her Campus: Other than focusing on nursing school, how else do you involve yourself on campus?
Jenny Vu: On campus I am involved with my sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. I am also a student affiliate with the Vietnamese Student Association. Oh and I’m also a resident assistant!
Her Campus: Do you enjoy being an RA?
Jenny Vu: I absolutely love being an RA! I am currently an RA at Patton Hall, a first year student community. Everyone always ask why would you ever want to work with freshmen. The answer is very simple. Freshmen are looking for guidance and help while navigating their first year as a college student. As an RA, I am able to help them and share my experiences from when I was a freshman.
Her Campus: What are your hobbies?
Jenny Vu: My hobbies include cooking, crafting, and Pinterest’ing. I am always on Pinterest and I whenever I see something delicious or cute, I want to try to make them. Other than that I just like to chill by myself and listen to music or hang out with friends.
Her Campus: What kind of music do you listen to?
Jenny Vu: I enjoy listening to country music, which is something no one would ever expect from me. But aside from country music, I like to listen to Ellie Goulding, Adele, Justin Bieber, and bunch of other stuff.

Jenny Vu: I am definitely a day person, I am rarely up before 10 am unless I am absolutely required to.

Jenny Vu: I’m most likely going out with my friends or my boyfriend.

Jenny Vu: SUSHI!!! Always.

Jenny Vu: Definitely somewhere hot, preferably with a nice beach.
