We all want flawless skin. Stop struggling to find a magical product to fix all your problems. Keep it simple. Remember, soft healthy skin doesn’t have to come from a specific product, it comes from specific routines. Here are 5 tips that will transform dry skin to flawlessly soft skin.

Exfoliate

The first step to soft skin is exfoliation. Exfoliation refers to the removal of dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. The build-up dead skin cells can clog pores and cause acne & blemishes. Try exfoliating with a DIY sugar scrub to uncover fresh, radiant skin. Exfoliate every 3 days for the best results.

Moisturize

Moisturizing daily reduces the chances of dry skin or oiliness. You should apply your moisturizer twice a day, especially after showering and shaving. My favorite face moisturizers are Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Moisturizer and Simple’s Replenishing Rich Moisturizer.

Use a Gentle Cleanser

Washing your face is a must, but the wrong cleanser can leave you with dry, irritated skin. Find a gentle cleanser that does the job without stripping all the oils from your skin. I typically use The Oil Bar’s Mango & Aloe All Natural Soap for my body and Simple’s Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash. Both are perfect for all skin types and will leave your skin feeling clean without the dryness.

Stay Hydrated

Trust me when I say water is the best skin care product. When your skin is dehydrated, you are more prone to developing dry or oily skin. Drinking tons of water isn’t necessary but aim to drink at least 8 cups a day. Infusing my water with cucumbers and mint helps me drink water throughout the day.

Eat Healthy Foods

You don’t have to start a challenging diet but try incorporating healthy foods that will help keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Avocados, broccoli, tomatoes and green tea are known to work wonders for the skin.

I recommend sampling scrubs, cleansers, and moisturizers before buying the full size. Include all 5 tips in your skincare routine and your skin will be glowing in no time!
