Dear friends,
After four years of high school, a million memories, and so much growing up together you would have thought our friendship could handle some distance. For years we were inseparable, either we were at my house or at yours, and our parents knew not to worry about us when we were together. We did crazy thing all over our hometown that others wouldn’t even understand. We pushed each other through tough times, we had each others back through crazy young relationships, and even the horrible choices of freshmen year.
It’s crazy to think that only a few months after graduation I have no idea what you’re doing now or what’s happening in your life. We never talk or even interact on social media anymore and that kills me because when something major happens you should have been the first one I called. Even in the future you were supposed to be my maid of honor and my kids would have been calling you aunt and begging to spend the night with your kids. Everything went down the drain because you couldn’t handle change.
College woke up a new side of me that you didn’t know and that scared you. I was making friends and getting involved around campus which took time from you. The pictures I posted made you feel left out and like you didn’t even know who the girl in the pictures were. I tried to reach out to you, please know that, but after months of being ignored and even coming home to a cold shoulder I could no longer fight for our friendship.
I hope everything goes well for you and I hope that life treats you better. Go after all the dreams and plans you talked about growing up and never become the type of person we hate. Even though we aren’t friends anymore if you ever need someone I here for you.
