It’s the month of love ladies! Some of you may not be the biggest fans of Valentines day, but this love filled month can be fun and special for everyone. You don’t need a valentine to enjoy the pink and red holiday season! Here are a few cool events happening around the area this month that can be fun for you, loved ones, friends, and family.

1. Cupids Bar Crawl

Sad you missed the last DC bar crawl? No worries, the local DC bars are hosting another Bar crawl to celebrate the month of love! Take your significant other for a fun night out, or have a night out on the town with some of your best girls. The cupid bar crawl is this weekend on February 6th from 3-11 pm. Some of the participating bars include The Huxley, The Mad Hatter, Café Citron, and many more!

2. Cupid Undies Run

For all my lady athletes, what better way to spend your valentines day weekend then running around our nations capital in your underwear to support a good cause. Go buy yourself a pair of cute festive undies and join hundreds of people in the cupid undies run on February 13th to help raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation.

3. Chocolate tours

Chocolate lovers, this is your month! Take advantage of this month and go explore the many chocolate shops in DC during one of the DC metro chocolate tours. These exciting and informative tours give you the opportunity to learn about the deep history in Georgetown while enjoying some delicious chocolate goodies like chocolate covered bacon, chocolate sugar, chocolate beauty products, and so much more!

4. Break-Up Slam

Bitter about your last relationship? Instead of spending the night at home eating ice cream, and watching the notebook. Check out the break-up slam. Let out all your anger and emotion and present your creativity to a crowd of people going through the same thing. The venue is providing a professional violinist to help you share your breakup stories. This event is located at the warehouse story in DC for only 5 dollars on February 12th.

5. Clarendon Mardi Gras parade

Get a little taste of New Orleans and celebrate Fat Tuesday in Arlington at the Mardi Gras parade. The family friendly event will have a variety of foods, activities, music, and drinks!! Take a break from your busy school week and head to clarendon on February 9th for some fun festivities from 7-11 pm.

Valentines day doesn’t seem so bad with all these cool and exciting events. Take advantage of the holiday! Enjoy this month with your friends, family, and loved ones!

Happy February Collegiate’s!!
