What activities are you involved in on or off campus?
I’m in Theta Chi Fraternity, IFC President, and I work full time for Cox Communications as a sales representative.

How is it being Mr.President of IFC?
Haha being President is something I never thought I’d be/want to be. After 3 years of doing things, learning what worked and what didn’t work as far as recruitment and running an organization I felt it was my responsibility to grab the reigns of IFC and make sure they didn’t make the same mistakes that I made. Thus, making it easier for IFC to grow on campus in a positive light.

How have those activities affected your time at Mason?
I’m definitely busy to say the least. Working 52 hours a week and having my two days off of work packed with ten hours of classes each isn’t really fun. Plus all the meetings, and who can forget intramural sports (Theta Chi All-Sports Champs 2010. No big deal.) There’s little time to do really anything. But I’m definitely active on campus and any spare moment I have, I spend on campus. Whether it’s hanging out with people or at organizations’ events.

What is your ideal date?
Ideal date huh? I feel like even if you’re filling out an application to join the military this question always seems to come up. I guess it depends on how long you’ve known the person. If it’s someone you really haven’t gone out with before, then I like dinner and a movie or dinner and mini golf. It’s a solid way to get to know someone better and still fun to do when it’s with someone new. Now if it’s someone you’re in a relationship with then it’s always nice to do something a little more special when you go out. After having a girlfriend for 2.5 years, it got pretty old just hanging out at each others houses and watching movies all the time. So when we did go out I made sure it wasn’t the ordinary dinner and a movie/mini golf. A couple go-to’s I had were late night firepit and s’more making (preferably in the fall when it was a little chilly outside), a night in the city at a nice restaurant and tickets to the comedy cellar, fun spontaneous stuff like that.

Describe yourself in three adjectives
Charismatic, outgoing, and awesome.

Sabel is a senior at George Mason University majoring in History and Economics. Although she'd rather stay a student forever, she is excited to see what the future brings her in the fashion industry. Besides her endeavors at HerCampus, Sabel is a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.com writing the Style Advice of the Week column for Mason. Adding to her busy schedule are her duties in her sorority, volunteering for Operation Smile, contributing to the social media world, feeding her soda addiction, shopping at J.Crew and coloring everything around her pink. And yes, the last three are major priorities in her book.
