Living in a dorm comes with many challenges of its own, food is one of them. Below are some ideas along with recipes that are versatile and easy enough to fix for yourself in the confines of your tiny dorm room.

1. ‘Banana Burrito’  for breakfast

Via Giphy

This recipe is versatile and satisfies all diets. If you’re short on time, easily spread peanut butter or Nutella with your favorite fruit in a tortilla for easy transportation. However, if you have the morning off and you feel like spicing things up a little, throw in some eggs, bacon, and some veggies. Either way, this recipe surely initiates some creativity to mix-and-match the leftover ingredients of your food stash.

2. ‘5-Minute Mac & Cheese’ for lunch

Via Giphy

This super easy recipe is multi-functional and can be served as a side or main dish. If a load of cheese and noodles still doesn’t excite you enough then you can easily add your favorites such as steamed broccoli or even bacon! Best part about this recipe? It only takes 5-minutes, now that’s enough time to make and run to class… or your bed for nap time;)

3. Loaded baked potato for dinner

Via Giphy

There are so many ways that you can mix and match how you serve up this meal for dinner. You can choose between a regular potato or sweet potato (if you’re one of the few people who appreciates them, that is), different types of cheeses, different vegetables, and of course, different types of meats to add on top.

4. Sundaes for desert

What’s more simple than your favorite ice cream with your favorite toppings?  There are so many possibilities that you can choose from with this quick dessert idea. My personal favorite has gotta be the classic hot fudge sundae with loads of whipped cream on top!

5. Snackin’ on S’mores

Via Giphy

S’mores make an easy snack mainly because they only involve three ingredients. Most people assume that you need a campfire to enjoy this delicious treat when in reality you can make it with just your microwave. So gather your makeshift campfire ingredients and enjoy your summer treat over those syllabus’ guides you’re about to receive.

These quick recipes are sure to inspire creativeness in every collegiette and provide enough freedom to add personal preferences to each recipe, and even better, they’re all super easy and can all be done in a microwave.
