Vanessa Hudgens’ New Suit Collaboration will Make You Feel Like a #GirlBoss

Actress and singer, Vanessa Hudgens, has recently released her first-ever design collaboration with Suistudio. The bohemian queen is extremely excited about the release of her new suits. On Instagram, Hudgens announced the collection with the caption, “So honored to create something for women to feel empowered in.”

Suistudio is the sister company of Suitsupply, a menswear fashion line. The Dutch brand has exclusive stores located in New York City and Amsterdam. But that doesn’t stop shoppers from buying these power suits online. In fact, Hudgens admits to buying her first suit from Suistudio for her 29th birthday. “I remember wearing it on my birthday and feeling like I was stepping into my higher self’s shoes, in a sense—I just felt more powerful and strong, feminine and sexy.”

Hudgens’ collection includes 15 separate pieces ranging from neutral colors to trendy patterns. Prices range from $79 to $699. Despite her love for every unique piece, Hudgens admits that The White Suit is her favorite. It’s so iconic and it reminds me of Bianca Jagger,” she says in an interview with US Magazine. Her inspiration also comes 70s and 80s icons like Davie Bowie.

Even though she is recognized for being the Queen of Coachella, Hudgens explains that her sense of style is not limited to bohemian clothing. In fact, her Instagram shows this as well. Hudgens is seen in cheetah print for a social event and even wearing hot pink for Mean Girl’s day. Let’s not forgot that Hudgens maintains a black and white, Halloween aesthetic every October where she rocks heavy eyeliner and combat boots. In an interview with US Magazine, Hudgens says, “I’m growing up and I think as woman we are never just one thing… I will always be a bohemian, free-spirited person, but that’s only one side of who I am as a whole. My style varies from ultra feminine to masculine. I spend so much time in dresses on the carpet that for date night sometimes a rocker tee and a skirt or incorporating a slouchy jean jacket is exactly what I need to be my happiest most relaxed self.”

But Hudgens is trying to spread an even deeper message with this new suit collection. She’s empowering women and letting them express their #GirlBoss mindset. In an interview with Forbes, the actress, singer and now fashion designer explained, “I think there’s something so powerful about a woman in a suit and right now is the time for women taking back their power. The way you dress is almost like armor. The way you look at yourself in the mirror and see yourself is the way that you’re going to step into the world and if you are not feeling strong and confident yourself, chances are people might not see that in you as well. You have to see it in yourself before others see it in you.”

We totally agree, Vanessa. Besides, what’s more empowering than wearing a suit?

Hudgens’ collection is available for pre-order now.
