Ahhh, Instagram. What would we do without her? Since the app’s launch in 2010, Instagram has grown to be college kids’ most-used social media app. We use it for everything like keeping up with celebs, entertainment, networking, sharing our pics and connecting with friends. I can honestly say I spend at least an hour a day scrolling through my feed! If you’re like me and spend a lot of time on the ‘gram, it’s so important to make sure it’s something that makes you happy. Instagram can be very toxic if you aren’t careful about who you follow. I always make sure the accounts I’m following bring me happiness, give me inspo or teach me something new. Here are some accounts I love to follow!

1. Erica Ligenza (@ericaligenza)

Erica has got to be one of my favorite people I follow on Instagram. We’ve never met, but I honestly feel like we are best friends. She shares honest, funny and unique content about her everyday life. She isn’t afraid of bold lipstick and shows that despite how the Internet makes things seem, life isn’t always perfect! She just had a baby and was also recently nominated as InfluenceHer of the year by Her Campus Media. Erica updates her Instagram daily and also has her own blog called Coming Up Roses (CUR)In her words, CUR is “not meant to be this uppity, overly aspirational hub of pretty things – it’s meant to be the pretty, real things. The things that you genuinely connect with and ‘get,’ and the things that are realistic for you to bring into yo’ everyday life.” Follow her for inspiration, laughs and sweet giveaways.

2. Morgan Harper Nichols (@morganharpernichols)

Morgan is an amazing writer and artist who shares her work on Instagram for free. Her artwork hits home for me because each piece is created beautifully and is so inspiring. I love the pops of color and relaxing designs in her pics because they are perfect for sharing on my own feed! She also has an app called Storyteller where you can get daily reminders and graphics of positivity sent to your phone. Regardless of my mood, her photos on my feed remind me to be strong and love others.

3. Bre Sheppard (@bresheppard)

Bre is my go-to gal for all thing’s beauty! She is a lifestyle blogger living in Seattle and rocks The Isle of Paradise self-tanner like no other. She is the first to let Insta know when her favorite products go on sale and also has the best coupon codes for her followers. In addition to the great deals (which us college girls LIVE for), she has tutorials for hair, makeup and skincare products, and try-on for the latest fashion pieces. Bre chats on her Instastories daily about her lifestyle and work and seems like the sweetest gal.

4. Rachel Hollis (@msrachelhollis)

Rachel Hollis uses the ‘gram as a platform for encouraging women (and men!) to realize their full potential. After selling her New York Times Best Seller Girl, Wash Your Face last year, her content blew up. If you’re the kinda gal who plans on going to the gym, but rarely actually goes, she’s your gal. Rachel wakes up before sunrise every day and gets on her grind! Her posts will make sure you stop making excuses and get yo’ life together!

5. Sam Schnur (@Thenaughtyfork)

Where my foodies at?! Sam Schnur is the reason I can’t keep to a diet. She brings mouthwatering dishes to my feed from all over the world. She is a great resource for your upcoming trips because she knows the best places to eat in all the major cities you may be visiting. She moved to Miami for more opportunities to grow her brand but started her foodie account when she was a student here at Florida State! (This is no shock; we have the best alumni!)

6. Sabrina (@Gypsytanhome)

Gypsytanhome is my favorite account to follow for home décor. Her account is basically my dream house Pinterest board. For most of our readers living in dorms and apartments, we might not be able to decorate a whole house yet, but she has great tips for organization and affordable décor that are super useful. If you are trying to bring some life to your apartment or dorm, she also shares tips on taking care of your house plants (which sounds weird, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a plant live longer than a month so, it’s needed).

7. Her Campus FSU (@hercampusfsu)

The Her Campus brand has separate accounts for stylebeautyfood and more and I love them all! Our feed at FSU is just a tiny part of Her Campus’s online presence, but Her Campus FSU’s Instagram content is crafted for women like you who want fun and useful content! Follow us for inspiration, style, news, entertainment and more. If you’re an FSU student with great pics, following along might just get you featured on our feed (*wink wink*) too!

Hannah is a senior at Florida State University. She loves the sunshine and practically survives off iced coffee. She spends her days writing, working out and walking her dog, majority of the time with T-swift on full blast!
