Hot Girl Summer was a trend that swept social media by storm this past summer and even ones before that. An aesthetic made to uplift girls and help them live their best lives, while also feeling hot about themselves. What more can you ask for? Many of us girls look forward to May for this exact reason, to break out the bikinis and start the gym memberships, but who says we can only achieve this aesthetic for a few months out of the year? If you love Hot Girl Summer, here’s how I achieve the perfect Hot Girl Winter.

Maintain a Healthy Workout Routine

For me, maintaining an everyday workout routine doesn’t have to be to lose weight, but to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It was intimidating at first, but instead of thinking about a big workout, I started small and built up to bigger workouts. Pilates is a really good and popular workout right now that isn’t too difficult and keeps me busy each day. There are super easy Pilates routines on YouTube, including Raven’s workout from the show Love is Blind, that I use.

Start a Skin Care Routine

While this might seem like something that everyone does, updating your skincare routine can be fun and necessary for your skin. I use a five-step simple skincare routine that helped improve my skin within two weeks this summer. Finding a good face wash that keeps your skin looking healthy, and makes it shine is a simple step you can do every day that will make a big improvement in your everyday life. I use Panoxl face wash, which is an effective and affordable brand. I also use two serums, from The Ordinary, which I picked based on my skin type.

The next step is a good moisturizer, which keeps skin hydrated and healthy. I use Cetaphil, which is another affordable and popular brand. Lastly, arguably the most important step in an everyday skincare routine is sunscreen. This step is one in that you won’t see the results every day but will affect you in the future. Hero is a great brand I use that doesn’t affect the texture of my everyday makeup.

Develop Your Own Style

This is a step that I really struggled with myself. Developing your own style and how you dress every day is something that is super simple, but a slight change can affect your entire appearance. During this Winter, try slightly adjusting some things within your style! Buy that sweater that you wouldn’t usually buy. Try on those jeans, that you might not usually even glance at. Another thing to try is branching out color-wise. You might discover that a color you never wear actually suits you really well, and makes you stand out. It’s all about feeling confident in yourself and trying new things. Take this upcoming Winter to take a leap into some new things. You might find your new favorite style!

Pick a New Hobby

Everyone has hobbies, whether it’s drawing, or even running, we all have something we enjoy doing, even if it’s a guilty pleasure. Winter is a great time to choose something new to enjoy for yourself. You don’t have to ditch your own hobby that you enjoy but try branching out and trying something new. This will expand your palette and you might find yourself having more fun with it than you realized. If drawing is your hobby of choice, try picking up a book. If you’re an avid reader, try drawing, running, or even crocheting. The options are endless, and that’s the fun of it!

Use a Planner

Using a planner is something that has become a fundamental tool in my life, these past few months. This is something you can start this Winter and continue on afterward. Using a planner can be as simple as buying one from the store or using an online platform to create one. Notion is a great site for this as well as many other skills. Making a schedule and planning out things in your everyday life is simple, yet so effective. This will keep you more organized and leave you feeling less stressed.

This is another skill that you can start out small and grow from there. Start adding small things to your planner, like going to the store or when you’re going to work out. Each week, add more and more things to your schedule, to achieve a full planner. This simple step will help you stay on track in your everyday life and leave you feeling considerably less stressed. Try it out!

While some of these steps might feel intimidating or useless, you would be surprised at how effective some of them can be to your overall lifestyle. Hot Girl Winter is all about becoming the best version of yourself, so just remember this when you think about trying some of these new things! Make it fun and exciting instead of scary and boring.
