Raising your vibration and maintaining a strong, positive aura is definitely a lifelong journey, but there are certain things you can focus on in order to truly feel that empowering and refreshing energy within yourself.

1. Acknowledge that life isn’t a competition

This is a huge one. Once you solely focus on yourself and your own goals without comparing yourself to others is when you truly begin to thrive. Know how much you have to offer and just how amazing you are while also acknowledging how amazing the other girl in the room is. There is literally no need to compete with anyone, especially your friends. Congratulate and be happy for your friends. Your time will come. In addition, a jealous or envious aura is draining and will attract similar energies into your life, which is definitely not what you want.

2. Listen to your body

Right off the bat, in order to really be in tune with yourself, you need to listen to your body. When you feel that someone’s energy is off, trust that. When you feel the need to leave a situation, do it. If you had a rough week and need to spend the whole day in bed, then do it.  Stop resisting what your psyche is telling you and trust that your body knows what is best for you.

3. Don’t let people’s actions affect you

This is definitely easier said than done, but when you are truly at peace with yourself, the words or actions of other people will have zero alteration on your mood. You know who you are inside, and the way that people treat you has nothing to do with your worth.

4. Steer clear of judgment and be compassionate

Perhaps the biggest lesson I’ve learned in my life is that you never know what anyone is going through, so the least you can do is be kind. Being judgmental or rude doesn’t do anything for you as a person, so why even spread that energy? Everyone struggles in life and being able to talk to a person and feel safe in their energy and be able to talk to them about anything without being judged is a beautiful feeling.

5. Spend time with people whose company you truly enjoy and who motivate you

You are in control of the energies that you allow into your life, so why put yourself in a situation where you don’t enjoy the presence of the people you are with? Surround yourself with people who make you feel energized, motivated and where you aren’t afraid to be your true authentic self. Don’t force anything either, and pay attention to how you feel when you’re around certain people. Real friends shouldn’t make you feel drained.

6. Prioritize time for yourself, and don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it

Making time for yourself is the best way to show your body love. Take care of your mental health first before anything, whether it be through journaling, meditating, yoga or whatever you enjoy doing.

7. Forgive yourself

Forgiving your past self and accepting and loving who you are in your current, present state, even if you’re not exactly where you want to be in life yet, is the first step towards healing and a great way to raise your vibration.
