The Best Bang-For-Your Buck Foods in Tallahassee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Considering we’re all college students looking to save money here and there, here’s ways to save money that won’t make a huge dent in your wallet. A lot of times I don’t look in the right places for the deals, so, here are a few!

1. 3 Dollar Manic Monday’s @ Whole Foods

Of course when we hear the name Whole Foods we think of the day we’ll be able to eat there after our dream job! BUT surprise: even you can! Every Monday come into Whole Foods and specific food will be marked down to $3. Milk, bread, meat, salmon, etc! Every week these products change so it’s always a good idea to swing by weekly with friends to see what you can save.

2. Jim & Milts BBQ

Who doesn’t love buffalo wings? Jim & Milts has a special of 45 cent wings on Tuesday & Thursdays.  So when you have nothing to eat in the house, you can scrape up some loose change and enjoy some wings! FYI: make sure you bring a hair tie and don’t go on a date here with a cute boy.

3. Chuy’s Tex Mex

A lot of you have seen this new Tex Mex place on Apalachee, but a lot of you won’t know their happy hour special. Chuy’s offers a happy hour from 4-7pm from Monday through Friday. This happy hour comes with a free nacho bar. So come to Chuy’s and grab a marg with a friend and get yourself nachos consisting of queso, chips, salsa, meat, beans and more! PSA: make sure you’re wearing loose pants.

4. Spear It! Legendary Food & Spirits

Come visit the friendly staff and get yourself a pie and a pint for just $10. Try the buffalo chicken pizza (personal favorite) and enjoy a beer with it. The best of both worlds!

5. El Patron in Tallahassee

This place is an amazing Mexican restaurant! Of course, if you’re having Mexican food, you have to add a margarita to go with it. Come to El Patron and order a house margarita and get the second one free and, no, you will not need a third.
