In a world so preoccupied with the force of cosmic energy, healing crystals have becoming a hot commodity among the spiritually aware. Different crystals have different attributes of color, size, and an energy quality that interacts with the earth’s electromagnetic field in the same way that we do. This provides these little energy harnessing stones with the ability to not only amplify the energy around you but open your chakras and step up your meditation game.

The seven main chakras are root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakras, each possessing a crystal that subsequently balances and magnifies the human energy field.

The Root Chakra: Located at the base of the spine, the root chakra is connected to grounding oneself. When it’s off balance a person could feel insecure, fearful, and as if your life is spiraling out of control. Good stones to help open your root chakra would include hematite, garnet and black tourmaline.

The Sacral Chakra: Associated with sexuality, creativity, passion, and personal power the sacral chakra is situated in the lower abdomen. A low energy flow through this area could result in frustration and lethargy. Stones that work well with this chakra are carnelian and calcite.

The Solar Plexus: Situated in the navel, the solar plexus chakra is important because it controls courage, honor, passion, and one’s responsibility to others. It is blocked by feelings of shame and regret. Stones that will open this chakra include tiger’s eye, citrine and amber.

The Heart Chakra: Living from through your heart, which is one of the fastest paths toward spiritual healing, is what the fourth chakra relies on. Associated widely with the colors pink and green, rose quartz, malachite and jade are all viable options to assist in opening your heart chakra.

The Throat Chakra: This chakra relied widely on self-trust, the acceptance of one’s self-truths and promotes communication, honest living and self-expression. Stones that work to unblock this chakra are sodalite, lapis lazuli and aquamarine.

The Third Eye: The third eye chakra is essential, and one of the most difficult chakras to open. It relies on releasing self-illusions and recognizing that you are connected to everyone you encounter. The stone most widely used for this chakra is amethyst, which promotes self-awareness and mental clarity.

The Crown Chakra: The last chakra sits at the crown of the head and facilitates a distribution of energy throughout the body, creating spirituality, awareness, intelligence and deep thought. Clear Quartz, otherwise known as the master healer, is an important stone to the crown chakra and will help keep you and your energy flow more aligned.

Healing crystals are a great way to not just talk about protecting your energy, but to take active steps toward becoming a more spiritual, grounded and self-actualized individual.  So get your aura right in 2018 and become more conscious of the energy you radiate with the use of healing stones.
