Anxiety is a pervasive issue for many individuals. The unsettling feeling of something being wrong, even when everything is seemingly fine, can leave a person feeling lost, scared, or apathetic. Although far from a cure, sometimes listening to music can help with feelings of anxiety. Some songs have a way of perfectly describing the way you’re feeling, or inspiring you to change your way of thinking. Here is a list of some of my favorite songs to listen to when I’m feeling a little anxious:

  1. breathin – Ariana Grande

  2. Deep Water – American Authors

  3. In My Blood – Shawn Mendes

  4. Insane – Judah & The Lion

  5. World Gone Mad – Bastille

  6. Paranoid – Jonas Brothers

  7. Unwell – Matchbox Twenty

  8. Get Better – Nothing But Thieves

  9. Breathe – Taylor Swift

  10. Come Back to Earth – Mac Miller

  11. Try – Colbie Caillat

  12. Little Motel – Modest Mouse

  13. Heavy – Linkin Park ft. Kiiara

  14. Be OK – Ingrid Michaelson

  15. Last Hope – Paramore

  16. Gasoline – Halsey

  17. Shake It Out – Florence & The Machine

  18. Let It Be – The Beatles

  19. Head Above Water – Avril Lavigne

  20. lovely – Billie Eilish & Khalid

If you are struggling with anxiety, please know that you are not alone, and that you have options to try and rid yourself of these scary feelings. Never be afraid to reach out for help! Don’t allow yourself to get used to anxiety, make a change! Any progress is progress. But for those days where you just need to settle down and listen to some music, I hope this playlist helps. Keep hanging in there. :)
