It’s that time of our lives when it seems like everyone is competing to be the busiest. It’s hard to know when to say no to job offers, internships, and people in general. (There’s that major FOMO kicking in.) If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the business, here are some reasons to say no.

1. You don’t have to do everything all the time. If you love being busy, and can handle it 100% of the time, by all means go full speed ahead. However, there’s no shame in not being busy 100% of the time.

2. You don’t owe anyone anything. Don’t let anyone pressure you into saying yes to everything.

3. You are worth it. You deserve to be happy, and if that means saying no, do it.

It’s hard to know what opportunities we should be taking advantage of while we are in college. Opportunities are going to come and go, so just keep in mind that your future will not be built or destroyed by saying no a few times.
