Are you an education major looking to find your place on campus? Look no further than the Future Educators Association here at FIU! FIU FEA is all about motivating and inspiring future educators to follow their passions. It’s the perfect club for those who have an interest in education or want to learn more about it.

General body meetings are held once a month in the ZEB Education building (Room 120). These meetings are full of fun, free food, and engaging activities. Previous meetings have included a Q&A session with the previous presidents of the club, donuts and coffee, and a spooky Halloween guessing game.

FIU FEA is hosted the FEA Conference on November 15th, which is a conference for high schoolers in South Florida who wish to study education. This conference will include speaking sessions, activities, and workshops. Some guest speakers will include 2019 Florida Teacher of the Year Joy Prescott, the School of Education faculty, and the President of FIU FEA Karina Bhutta.

This semester has a lot of exciting things in store for FEA! Be sure to attend their next general meeting on February 13th, 2019 to enjoy some Valentine’s Day treats and fun.

Despite being a club geared towards education majors, it is open to all FIU students of any major. Education is something found in every field of study. If you’re not an education major, have no fear! This club is still an amazing way for you to network with fellow peers and faculty who seek to change the world.

Anel is an Elementary Education major within the Honors College at Florida International University. Her passions include beauty, music, education, and of course writing! In the future, she plans to be working as a full-time teacher and part-time makeup artist, all while obtaining her Masters degree. When she's not studying or working, you can probably find Anel shopping, watching makeup tutorials and Netflix, volunteering in a kindergarten classroom, or spending time with her family.
