It seems as if nothing is worse than staring at a sea of clothing and feeling like you have nothing to wear. Eventually, you end up in your mom’s closet, your sister’s closet, or even your best friend’s closet, desperately finding something even remotely “cute.” Well, thankfully, I’m going to share with you some pieces of clothing that every young woman should have in her closet to help you next time you’re in a closet crisis.

Denim Skirts

This mini denim skirt is so incredibly versatile that you need it in your closet. You can wear it with a nice belt and blouse and sandals to make it more formal or wear a retro band tee and white sneakers to dress it down. Not only that, but the skirt does a great job cinching in the waist and giving you the feminine hourglass figure. Personally, I have this type of skirt in almost every denim wash, and I love them all.

Black Booties

Since we are officially in fall, these booties are a must. I think what makes them so popular is how well it elongates your legs because of the block heel. Personally, I love the patent leather boots since they look a little more formal. Also, these shoes can go with some boyfriend jeans, skirts, or even some black flare pants. Of course, they don’t need to be black, but black does match with everything!

Denim Jackets

Maybe I just have an emotional attachment to denim but, every woman needs a denim jacket. It gives such a retro look to whatever your outfit is and I especially love the oversized jackets. Also, I think they are so popular because they can be thrown on around the waist, off-the-shoulder, or just worn normally. It really just depends on the weather. Overall, it will definitely help you when you’re lost on what to wear.

Aerie Boyfriend Tees

I don’t know what it is about these shirts, but the second I saw them I completely fell in love. They are so soft and cozy, yet still have that distressed look. Normally, I am a size small but these shirts run so big that I sized down to an extra small and believe it or not, the shirt still hangs down to my thighs. However, if you want the shirt to look smaller, simply tie it in a knot and let it hang off of one shoulder and it looks adorable. Not only that, but you can pair it with a nice bralette and you look really cute and put together in seconds. Again, you need it.

Mini Backpacks

No girl likes to have heavy baggage when they’re out. That’s why I’m recommending this backpack! You can fit your necessities in it, like your wallet, keys, lipgloss, and phone, which is really all you need. Furthermore, the crocodile pattern is in style right now and even makes the backpack more unique, and since it is more of a plain color it matches everything.

Overall, I know how frustrating it is to feel like you have nothing to wear, considering I love going out with my friends. However, it is easy to find yourself repeating an outfit from time to time. I feel that over the years I have gathered my own sense of style and I’ve figured out what pieces are essential to building any outfit.
